Over the last couple of weeks I have begun to read blogs, at first I was lead to an old friend's one, I found that over a couple of days I had read through all the archives. I followed her links to other pages and read more.
The nosy neighbour in me loves being able to look into people's lives as though catching glimpses into their brightly lit rooms from the dark street outside. Which was something I loved to do during my teens walking home from school through the west end of Glasgow. I can still see the flat with the wonderful pieces of art on the walls, another dark red paint and one wall, was shelved floor to high ceiling and stacked with books, books I longed to peruse.
So now, here I am starting a blog and allowing people to look into the brightly lit windows of my life....
I'm over half way through a year of living in New York. I love it here and would stay if the opportunity arises but for now I must think about returning home and becoming a grown-up finally.
Why cotton & cashmere? Why not? I love them both for the memories they bring back and the images the evoke.

I do the same thing but in the south side of Glasgow. I love looking in the bay windows of flats I could never afford to live in. Blogging does feel very similar!
